Practicing golf at the hand of an expert in an incredible luxury resort with spectacular views is something that Velas Resorts has in store, commencing on January 25th to the 29th at Grand Velas Los Cabos, and February 1st to 5th at Grand Velas Riviera Maya.

John E. Morgan is a commentator and former professional golfer who has played alongside Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, and Fred Couples. He’s showcased his skills in the Open Championships, European Tour and PGA Tour which gave him fame and recognition. During his two-week residency, John will share his experience and advice to all who join.

This experience in Grand Velas has been designed for enthusiasts of all levels, in efforts to develop multiple skills through a hands-on activity or learn from scratch during group activities and individual sessions. Each session will challenge guests to go further than Morgan, which will only be using one hand, in a great experience coupled with sunset cocktails.

The workshops at Grand Velas Los Cabos will be held in Cabo Real a field designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. with 18 holes who was the leader of two PGA Senior Slam events (1996, 1999). The workshops at Grand Velas Riviera Maya will be in El Camaleón, an 18-hole course designed by Greg Norman, home of PGA Tour and the only Jim McLean golf school in Mexico.

Other properties of Velas Resorts also have golf courses nearby where guests can polish their skills. Three championship golf courses are located a short distance from Casa Velas. Marina Vallarta is the 18-hole course designed by Joe Finger that offers 6,701 yards and a par 71. On the other hand is Vista Vallarta with 7,073 yards, par 72, 18 holes and a dense forest of ficus trees, natural streams and grass pendants, all designed by Jack Nicklaus. The Tom Weiskopf course, also with 18 holes, is a par 72 with 6,976 yards and land with dense jungle, deep ravines, and fast creeks.

Put your golf skills to the test through exciting activities that the destinations of Velas Resorts have prepared for you.
