Let me introduce you to my personal oasis
It is inevitable to grasp at every sensation that Casa Velas produced in me, even as I write this review I can still sense it. A weekend was more than enough for my husband and I to relish an unforgettable experience that fascinated us.
Upon entering this charming boutique hotel, immersed in the Marina Vallarta golf course and surrounded by exotic gardens is when the pleasure began, injecting a sense of tranquillity at every step.
We were greeted by a colonial-style architecture, similar to that of a Mexican hacienda, adorned with traditional cobblestones, koi fish ponds, and lively vegetation.
The warm hospitality of Puerto Vallarta was felt upon entering the lobby, a genuine smile and a heartfelt reception was waiting for us, while a lavender and citrus fragrance released our tension from a long plane ride.
We stayed in a Wellness Suite, ideal for the rest and detachment we were seeking, of which was produced by its terrace that delivered the perfect sunrise in all its splendor just what I needed to go with my delicious cup of coffee. Its immersion pool is a nice touch to savor a refreshing cocktail in the afternoon alongside your partner, amidst the sound of the birds to relax your mind.
The hotel’s botanical garden was one of my favorite go-to spots, whether feeling the soft grass along the soles of my feet during a meditation session or reading my favorite book in its hanging chairs inhaling the fresh air of Vallarta, this space is designed to revitalize the senses.
The variety of exquisite aromas and flavors from Emiliano restaurant aroused our palates and made our culinary experience truly sensational. I loved that the dishes at the hotel were prepared with homegrown ingredients that came from their botanical garden, giving the concept of organic and artisanal cuisine a whole new meaning.
Although Casa Velas is located along the coast, they offer transportation to their very own Private Beach Club, less than 5 minutes from the hotel. Their exquisite menu of Asian cuisine and cocktails are a true delight, and the perfect couple to an afternoon by the sea breeze and stunning sunsets of the Pacific.
We were captivated by the luxuries and activities that featured painting classes, wine tastings, and yoga sessions, that we completely overlooked the beach, as the hotel alone delivers a special mystique to soothe your mind and body.
I must say, this lovely hotel truly became my oasis to unwind from the moment we set foot in the lobby. So if you are seeking a sanctuary to relax and disconnect from the outside chaos, I can assure you Casa Velas is the ideal spot.
